Charlamagne Tha God Responds To Eminem’s Surprise Album

Charlamagne Tha God was just one of the hip hop personalities dissed by Eminem on Kamikaze, Eminem’s newest album. Rappers like Lil Yachty, Lil Xan, and Machine Gun Kelly were also mentioned negatively on the album. Other hip hop commentators to receive ill will from Eminem include DJ Akademics and Joe Budden, who once hosted the hip hop show Everyday Struggle together.


Eminem has also received criticism from mainstream television and publications, due to his lines about Tyler, the Creator. Eminem called Tyler a homophobic slur in the album, resulting in outrage from gay people all over the world.


Charlamagne chimed in, giving his opinions on the line about Tyler saying: “He’s actually quoting something Tyler said about himself.” Despite Tyler, The Creator being okay with the particular slur, Charlamange claims that Eminem doesn’t understand that when that word is used it hurts gay people everywhere, not just the person it was aimed at.


When Eminem’s previous album, Revival, was released, Charlamagne was one of dozens of popular, knowledgeable hip hop commentators to give it negative reviews. Eminem fired back at Charlamagne rapping: “Charlamagne gonna hate anyway, doesn’t matter what I say/Give me Donkey of the Day.”


Charlamagne Tha God also talked negatively about Eminem’s 2018 BET Cypher, where the Detroit MC rapped about his problems with Donald Trump.
