Doe Deere’s Life and Career at Lime Crime

Doe Deere is a household name in the field of cosmetics where she founded one of the most successful beauty company known as Lime Crime. Originally from Izhevsk Russia, Doe Deere came to the United States when she was 17 to pursue a career in music. She settled in New York and joined a band that went by the name Sky Salt. Her music career was doing well and was at its peak when she decided to change her career to follow her dreams.


Doe Deere as a child had always wanted to be a musician when she grew up which she fulfilled when she came to the United States. However, she had a stronger liking for entrepreneurship which made her leave the music career. Again, she had been in business when she was younger while back at Russia where she sold temporary tattoos to her classmates. Furthermore, Lime Crime Company specializes in innovative and colorful makeup which was not so easy to find as most beauty companies concentrated on the natural colors. The company helped in the revolution of makeup when it pioneered the bright and unusual rainbow colors that had not been there before. Also, Doe Deere says she used the name Lime Crime as it was her favourite color when she wanted to register her DIY fashion store on eBay in 2004. Additionally, the company’s products include lipsticks, eyeshadows, nail polishes, and hair dyes.


Doe Deere’s Daily Routine


The renowned entrepreneur daily routines starts at 8:30 am when she wakes up and has a glass of water before anything else. As a resident of Los Angeles, which is also where Lime Crime is headquartered, it is very dry, and one needs to stay hydrated. She then engages in some stretch exercises before taking her breakfast which consists of fresh orange juice, yogurt, a fruit, and grits which is her favourite.


The Queen of Unicorns then checks her phone before chatting with her team using Lime Crime’s internal chats systems and respond to her emails. She then proceeds to do her makeup and hair then get time to bond with her cats before going to work. She gets to her company at 12:30 and has lunch while interacting with her team, and once she’s done, she attends meetings. There were many times when she enjoyed working for Citi but she also wanted to make sure that she was doing what she could to improve the outlook of her career. One of the many things that she did was try working for an insurance company. This gave her the chance to see that there was more to recruitment than just banking. She worked with the New York Life Insurance Company for a short period of time. During this time, she learned about recruitment for insurance and that allowed her to feel like she had gained more experience. There were many times when she wanted to make sure that she was doing things the right way. From there, she moved on to a new opportunity.


The Deutsche Bank was the next opportunity that Julie Zuckerberg took on. She wanted to get back into recruitment for banking and the Deutsche Bank gave her that opportunity. It made things better for her and allowed her the chance to make a difference with the company. Since Julie began working at the Deutsche Bank, they have seen a huge surge in the number of quality investors that they pick up and work with to make things better for the banking business.

Initially, she claimed that speaking in front of large audiences was overwhelming. However, with a combination of preparation and competitive spirit she managed to overcome her stage fright.

In 2009 Lori Senecal’s organizational skills and entrepreneurial spirit would pay off. She would be promoted to CEO of KBS & Partners(Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal). She would globalize the company and bring it into the 21st century. She would steer the company away from traditional advertising and develop a new focus on social and digital media content. By 2011 her efforts had paid off by landing a $160 million account with BMW. Senecal’s reorganization would result in KBS doubling their gross revenue from 2009 to 2014.

In March of 2015 Senecal would be promoted to CEO of CP&B’s(Crispin Porter & Bogusky). She would be the company’s first global CEO. She would reorganize CP&B by creating standard procedures for communication within the organization’s leadership. The company would quickly win creative accounts from American Airlines, PayPal and Jose Cuervo. Revenue would increase 21% from October 2015 to October 2016.

Lori Senecal has reinvented global marketing, says She refined procedures so everyone in her organization worked towards a common goal.
